Cardiac Ultrasound Probe

Cardiac ultrasound probe: wireless phased-array probes for cardiac imaging, including the continuous-wave C10CW model.

Cardiac probes in the specialist series

Cardiac ultrasound probes use a phased-array transducer, which is designed to image the heart through the narrow spaces between the ribs. The cardiac series published here contains two models, and the table below gives their published specifications side by side. Both use 128 elements and a 2.2 to 3.6 MHz phased-array frequency range, and both work with software that is described as compatible with iOS, Android and Windows and free to use. The differences are in size, weight, depth, battery, waterproof rating and imaging modes, and those differences are what a buyer should compare, rather than treating the two models as interchangeable.

The C10UC is described as the first cardiac probe in the series, with wired imaging as an option. The C10CW, described as a 2023 continuous-wave Doppler probe, adds a CW mode, which the source page describes as better for detecting high-speed blood-flow signals, together with an anti-slip design. Continuous-wave Doppler is a mode for measuring high blood-flow velocities, and its presence is the main functional difference between the two models, alongside the smaller size, lighter weight, deeper range and higher waterproof rating of the C10CW. A buyer who does not need continuous-wave measurement may find the C10UC sufficient, while a buyer who does need it should specify the C10CW by model name.

Using cardiac probes at the point of care

A handheld cardiac probe is used where a full echocardiography machine is not available at the bedside, for example in emergency, critical-care or primary-care settings, or as a second device in a cardiology clinic. The probe pairs with a phone, tablet or computer, and the examination is viewed and stored on that device. Image quality, frame rate and measurement tools depend on the model and on the app version, so a buyer should confirm the measurement package and the file formats for the model they plan to order, and should not assume that a feature listed for one model is present in the other.

Software and connectivity

The multipurpose and specialist series described on this site are presented by the company as working with the free MY USG app on iOS, Android and Windows, with images that can be saved in JPG, PNG, MP4 and DICOM formats. Confirm the app version, device compatibility and file-format support for the specific model you plan to order, because app features can differ between series.

Before you inquire

Before payment, confirm the exact model, probe type, frequency range, scanning depth, connectivity, battery specification, included accessories, minimum order quantity, lead time and price for your order in writing. The minimum order quantity and lead time figures quoted on this site come from the supplier's marketplace listing (for example, a listed minimum of 1 piece and delivery within 15 workdays) and are shown only as listed values to confirm per order, not as a fixed quotation. Certificates available upon request.
